Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Building Maintenance Technician to join our facilities management team. This role involves maintaining the physical infrastructure of our office spaces and ensuring that all environments are safe and functional. The ideal candidate will have experience in various maintenance disciplines, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine building maintenance duties, including painting, carpentry, electrical repairs, plumbing, and HVAC maintenance.
• Inspect and identify equipment or machines in need of repair.
• Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs.
• Plan and schedule repairs, perform preventative maintenance activities, and coordinate with external contractors when necessary.
• Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
• Respond quickly to emergency situations, such as electrical outages.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and security protocols.
• Assist with the setup of facilities for meetings, conferences, events, etc.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a maintenance technician.
• Strong knowledge of building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry.
• Experience with tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance best practices.
• Ability to read and understand manuals and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks and work in environments that may involve exposure to different elements.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or relevant field is preferred.
